About the event
Founded in 1973 and originally linked to the Venice Biennale, the Asolo Art Film Festival is the oldest festival in the world dedicated to art cinema , highlighting its importance in dialogue between cinema and the visual arts. With a legacy supported by UNESCO, it has featured visionary figures such as Alain Resnais, Yoko Ono, Jean Rouch, Ingrid Bergman, and many more.
Honoured to see First Encounter included in this landmark event in the field of art film.
